The new communication highlights the company’s commitment to robotics – and combines it with the many years of experience that columbus has always stood for.

The new design

The new columbus logo combines elegance and simplicity: The new, elegant, geometric typography emphasizes the premium quality, while the “o” with its cutout remains a striking detail. This reduction makes the logo appear clearer, more timeless, and more versatile.

In the color scheme, red remains the focus as the brand anchor, but becomes fresher and brighter. White, as an expression of openness, is also retained and is further strengthened and made more striking by the redesigned imagery. Added to this is a new blue spectrum that conveys dynamism, progressiveness, and reliability.

The new typography conveys a confident and high-quality feel without sacrificing approachability. It is clear, friendly, and elegant – thus reflecting columbus’s claim: premium, yet approachable.

The Trail – Movement as a Design Principle

For columbus’s new brand design, the trail was developed as a powerful graphic element. Its shape is derived from the movement patterns of modern robotics and the cleaning tracks of both traditional and autonomous cleaning machines.

The dynamic shape underscores the progressiveness and growing self-confidence of the columbus brand. At the same time, it creates a visual element that is flexible in use and lends the brand a distinctive identity.

Furthermore, the trail facilitates the design integration of the Philon and peppermint brands, creating a consistent and recognizable overall image.
