UX/Service Design Director (m/f/x)

As UX/Service Design Director, your main focus is on the holistic design of intuitive user experiences with the highest conceptual, technical and visual quality. You work interdisciplinary; lead, motivate and support a team of designers and are in charge of the development of digital strategies, services and products.

As a qualified digital designer, you think in a user-centred way, are proficient in the relevant methods and have experience in the development of user experiences for various digital touchpoints. You have gained your knowledge in agencies or companies, worked for renowned brands and made a name for yourself as an innovator who pushes things forward and is always ready to take on new challenges.

You communicate empathetically with the team and clients, whether in workshops, presentations or in day-to-day business. In your role, you control and accompany the entire process: from the first client meeting, through workshops, definition of requirements, user journeys, prototyping, testing to the final product.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for one of the agency's core competencies: the development of innovative user experiences in line with the brand - this is what think moto stands for. You represent this core competence both internally and externally.

Your task:

  • Creative direction design/ Creative leadership and mentoring of the design team.
  • Main responsibility and assurance of design quality and brand fit for digital products and services throughout the entire development process from user research to detailed design.
  • Presentations & workshops to new and existing clients
  • Customer consulting in all content and -related topics
  • Content planning of projects, quotation calculation for , definition and evaluation of project goals
  • Continuous development of the agency's method set, optimisation of internal processes
  • Development and expansion of the design team

What you bring:

  • 7+ years as a service / designer with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Team spirit: open, helpful, not only delegating - also being "hands-on" sometimes
  • Several years of experience in working with demanding clients
  • Sound user experience knowledge for different projects (product, communication, e-commerce etc.)
  • Confident feeling & high demand for excellent UI design
  • Practical experience in agile, hybrid work environments (mindset, processes, tools, etc.)
  • Optimally: agency experience, branding experience
  • Confident appearance and empathic, binding communication
  • Very good German and English skills

Whether it's a campaign, a visual or a tweet: you increase our reach, our conversion rate, make think moto and the think moto Academy visible in the digital media and take care of digital communication for us, no matter what kind. You communicate, design, position, edit, place and control as an all-rounder in your field. You plan content in advance, develop formats for social media posts and blog contributions and write articles for Medium and our blog as well as case studies for our website.

LinkedIn, Insta, Twitter or Facebook - you know them all. Textually and visually. And you analyse with the appropriate tools to keep the strings in your hand and performance on your radar. In short, you're responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring our digital marketing activities. Tech, design, innovation, new work, they all interest you, but you're also passionate about people, teamwork and making a difference with others. You want to set up a podcast? Great! As a Conversational Designer you’ll develop language-based interfaces (CUIs) for messaging bots and language assistants (VUIs). You will create the personality of the chatbot based on a strategic process, define use cases, write sample dialogues and develop prototypes, and depending on the project team up with visual design, development, sound engineers, screenwriters etc...

What you will do

  • You discover the requirements for the bot personallty in a strategic process together with a strategist
  • You create user personas and define use cases for the conversation
