Simply user-friendly: UX design for the aifinyo customer portal

After aifinyo had already commissioned us with its new brand strategy and website relaunch, it was now time to develop an intelligent, user-friendly UX design for the customer portal. The listed company believes in the high added value of freelancers and entrepreneurs and offers them intelligent financing solutions with its digital platform.

Mobile first: Clarity even on small screens

The particular challenge was to present the complex content of the customer portal, such as number-heavy tables, in a clear way, especially for use on a cell phone. aifinyo is a pioneer in this area, as none of the competitor products have yet dared to develop a mobile version. We therefore developed the digital platform as a minimum viable product (MVP) in order to be able to quickly and easily test the most important areas of the customer portal later in user testing

Individually configurable: the dashboard as the linchpin

We designed the entry point to the customer portal as a dashboard that shows the most important data and facts at a glance and at the same time allows users direct access to all relevant areas. These are primarily cash flow and tips, which are prominently placed accordingly. The dashboard can also be individually configured, allowing users to access the information that is important to them even more quickly.

Always keeping an eye on liquidity with cash flow

The cash flow provides customers with an overview of their liquidity, income and expenditure. We worked very visually here and presented figures not in tables but as bars and graphs. This makes it easier to grasp content intuitively, especially as different display options for web and mobile additionally reduce the amount of data. Users can view their income and expenditure for one or three months on their mobile devices and also for six months or a year in the web view.

Always well advised with these tips, even on the go

As aifinyo wants to help its customers individually, the tips not only provide recommendations for action that are tailored precisely to their financial situation and legal form, but also explain the individual functions. And, more importantly, in the event of a financial bottleneck, they offer users access to personalized financing products and information on new financing options.

In the mobile version, each new tip appears as a small speech bubble that pops up when clicked and displays all the information, such as step-by-step registration, financing offers or processes

The MVP as a milestone

aifinyo wants to become the leading billment platform in Germany and to this end is successively expanding the customer portal with functionalities from all billment areas. The customer portal developed by us as an MVP, which we validated and optimized by means of user testing, can be expanded at any time and is an important milestone for aifinyo’s declared goal
